*LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP: UPHOLDING EDO CENTRAL'S TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE IN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTIONS*

*By Rita Ebiuwa*

The Edo Central senatorial district has consistently showcased a remarkable ability to nominate highly competent candidates for the governorship elections, reflecting the region's commitment to quality leadership and governance.

This tradition began with the candidature of Prof Aill, who brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the race. His tenure was marked by insightful leadership and policies that aligned well with the aspirations of the people of Edo State.

Following Prof Aill, Prof Osunbor continued this legacy with his governorship bid. As a learned individual with an extensive background in academia and law, Prof Osunbor was instrumental in elevating the discourse around state governance, focusing on sustainability and inclusive growth.

His contributions further solidified the reputation of Edo Central as a breeding ground for leaders who are not only well-educated but also deeply committed to the welfare of their constituents.

Today, the torch has been passed to Asue Ighodalo of the PDP, another stellar candidate who embodies the exceptional qualities Edo Central is known for.

Asue's candidacy comes at a critical time when visionary leadership is needed to navigate the complexities of contemporary governance.

His background in finance and administration positions him as the ideal candidate to steer Edo State towards economic prosperity and social stability.

Compared to his opponent, Akpakomiza of the APC, Asue's credentials, vision, and dedication highlight him as the preferable choice.

It is imperative for the Esan people and all constituents of Edo Central to come together in support of Asue Ighodalo.

His leadership promises to not only uphold but enhance the legacy of excellence established by his predecessors.

Asue's commitment to transparency, effective governance, and community engagement makes him the best candidate to lead Edo State into a future marked by progress and opportunity.

The choice is clear, and the time to act is now—to rally behind a leader who truly represents the best of Edo Central.
