Trump sacks Nigeria’s Ogunlesi on Twitter, commends N’Korea for holding fire on Guam

Head of private equity firm, Global Infrastructure Partners, Adebayo Ogunlesi has been sacked alongside other distinguished CEOs as an adviser to embattled US President Donald Trump.

Reports say Ogunlesi, a member of Strategic and Policy Forum (the only African on the panel) and others were sacked on Twitter by Trump when he announced the dissolution of two business advisory councils, in one fell swoop.

Meanwhile, Trump has described North Korea’s decision to delay any military action against the U.S. territory of Guam as a “very wise and well reasoned decision”.

“The alternative would have been both catastrophic and unacceptable!” President Trump wrote on Twitter.

Defiant North Korea led by headstrong leader Kim Jong Un said it is holding fire on Guam but is watching the action of the US before deciding to hit the American territory with missiles.

Kim says his army has finalised plans to launch four missiles into the waters near the US Pacific territory of Guam, but are waiting for his order to strike.

The North Korean leader who inspected the command of the North’s army on Monday, examined the plan for a long time and discussed it with army officers, the official KCNA agency said.
