Edo State Deplorable Educational Standard

Edo state government setting up a think tank committe is a waste of time , because nobody is thinking there their brains are empty. The educational sector of the state has failed according to the interim gov so what has he thought to do about this ???? Mr governor people say u are a guru but I don't think so bcos of the few decisions you have taken let me upgrade and advice you here if you want to uplift our educational standard in edo state the first thing to do is to merge the available schools in the state no building of any new school merge the schools we already have to a fewer number . They have used politics to spoil our educational system any village you go today there are so many primary and secondary schools all over the place imagine a village with up to five primary schools and four secondary schools all substandard without teachers when you visit these communities during election campaigns they will tell you we want school and you too will say I will build a school here not considering the number of school already there. Some of these schools has less than 100 pupils and maybe 4 teachers so what do we need that for ??? If a whole  local government has 10 secondary schools and 10 primary schools don't you think that there will be a cluster of teachers posted to each school?? Thereby providing enough teachers per school and have the population of these schools raised up ?? Therefore qualitative  education will be achieved ?? Where plenty science teachers would be available in the school?? When we went to secondary school my school was over 4 kilometres from our house from textile Mill Road i went to Baptist high school,  but we made it thru we had plenty teachers and we had quality education then now school is for politics all this must stop my advice is that let's merge all these schools together and provide qualitative education no teacher will lose their job but they will now have pupils to to teach and government will spend less in maintaining our schools how many secondary schools were in benin in 1983 ??? We knew all the schools in town and we were proud and our educational standards were up then. Now you cannot even name the schools in you area . Everywhere school bcos it is a kind of business now and not for good education but for profit. Government must look into merging of schools in the whole state to upgrade it's standard .obaseki if you know you are here to help edo people think about this message !!
