Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, may have technically bowed out of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, as he has on Sunday, August 21, refused to refute the allegation of picking the 2019 Presidential ticket of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Atiku, who was reacting to a story in a national newspaper which linked him with the crisis in the PDP, simply said, “I have no hands in PDP’s crisis”. And refused to comment on his planned defection from the All Progressives Congress, APC. In a post on Twitter by his media office, Atiku said he had no hand in the PDP problem. “Former VP @Atiku has no hand in PDP crisis.” Recall, that a Factional National Chairman of the PDP, Ali Modu-Sheriff, had last Wednesday, alleged that the rival Ahmed Makarfi Faction in collaboration with some PDP Governors, were planning to hand over the party’s 2019 presidential ticket to an unnamed founder of the party, currently in the APC.
