• A Christmas Message of Gratitude, Hope, and a Call for Peace in Nigeria

  • As we celebrate this Christmas season, our hearts are filled with gratitude to Almighty God for the gift of life, love, and preservation. Christmas reminds us of God’s mercy and faithfulness, and as Nigerians, we are thankful that He has kept us alive and in good health despite the many challenges we have faced as a nation. We give thanks to God for sustaining families, communities, and the entire country through the year.
  • We are especially grateful for the gift of good health to Nigerians across all states and regions. In a time when many nations are battling sickness, hardship, and uncertainty, God has remained our refuge and strength. This Christmas is a reminder that even in difficult times, hope is alive and God’s grace is sufficient.

  • However, as we celebrate, we cannot ignore the deep concerns facing our nation, particularly the growing insecurity. In Edo State and across Nigeria, citizens continue to live in fear due to kidnappings, banditry, and violent attacks. We respectfully call on the Edo State Government and His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, to place stronger focus and urgency on addressing security challenges in the state. The protection of lives and property must remain a top priority, as no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of fear.

  • We also appeal to the Federal Government to take decisive steps to ensure that the coming year is free from religious killings, kidnappings, and senseless violence. Nigerians deserve to worship freely, travel safely, and live peacefully without fear of being attacked or abducted. Security agencies must be empowered, equipped, and held accountable to protect citizens effectively.

  • Furthermore, we urge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to listen attentively to the cries of Nigerians. The pain, fear, and frustration of the people are real. Tackling insecurity decisively will restore confidence, unity, and hope in the nation. Nigerians are not asking for too much—only the right to live in peace and dignity.

  • As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, we pray that God will touch the hearts of our leaders with wisdom, compassion, and courage. May this Christmas usher in renewed commitment to justice, peace, and security across Nigeria. May the New Year bring healing to our land, safety to our people, and lasting peace to every home.

  • Merry Christmas, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 🇳🇬
