ANTICULT VOLUNTEER CORPS (AVC) MEETS WITH DIRECTOR-GENERAL SECURITY MATTERS, DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT
In view to solidify our tireless but selfless services in ensuring a safe and crime-free Delta State, we met and officially pen-down another partnership with Delta State Government through the Office of Director-General, Security Matters.
AVC Team led by the National President Austyne Emu (007) had a rousing welcome from the DG. Security Matters and his team at the Governor's Office Annex, Warri, Delta State whom was extremely open in sharing his innovative ideas on possibilities of promoting safety of lives and properties of all residing in Delta State.
The Commander of the AVC briefed the DG of the working style of the ANTICULT as well as the support given to the AVC by the Delta State Police Commissioner and the Inspector-General of Police which led to the creation of the STATE ANTICULT UNIT (SACU) and the modalities put in place for the creation of Anticult Volunteer Corps units in over 50 Police divisions in Delta State.
The Director-General assured the AVC of the DELTA STATE Government partnership with AVC to reduce violent cult activities, kidnapping and like offences as he stated that almost all crimes are cult related.
We had a brief stopover at the Police Area Commander's Office, Warri whom personally welcomed AVC Team and surprisingly almost repeated same words of DG. Security Matters to further support AVC in his own capacity to guarantee more drastical reduction of violent cult activities, kidnapping and other violent crimes which AVC has been progressive in handling.
The Police Area Commander, Warri has been a major supporter of Anticult Volunteer Corps (AVC) for years now since his days as DPO in Ashaka Police Division.
Anticult Volunteer Corps (AVC) and State Anti Cult Unit (SACU) of the Delta State Police Command remains focused in making Delta State a NO CULTISM ZONE.
