*Rhapsody Of Realities* Affirming His Greatness In Worship_

*Rhapsody Of Realities* Affirming His Greatness In Worship_ Sunday, December 18th . Pastor Chris As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them (Acts 13:2). Luke, by the inspiration of the Spirit, pens for us how certain prophets and teachers in the church at Antioch ministered to the Lord and fasted, and received guidance and instruction from the Lord. Notice they didn’t have to cry, scream, bawl or wail, “Lord, we want to hear your voice; please speak to us.” All they did was that they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, and He blessed them with His Word and guidance. How do you minister to the Lord? It’s by worshiping Him, singing, and affirming His praise, making confessions to His Name. The way to make confession to His Name is to affirm His greatness and to declare what He’s done; you proclaim His marvellous works, and attribute the goodness in the world, a...

Boko haram rampage on Christmas Eve

NEWS NUGGET- Many Feared Killed In Fresh Kaduna Village Attack ON CHRISTMAS EVE. The 14 year old daughter of Barrister Gideon Morik, former Chairman of Jema'a LGA, was killed in last night's attack. The latest attack is coming barely four days after indigenes of southern Kaduna staged a protest in Kafanchan, the headquarters of Jemaa Local Government Area against the continous killing of their people by suspected herdsmen. An indigene of the area who witnessed the incident Saturday evening, told Channels Television that the heavily armed gunmen invaded the village at about 6:000 p.m. local time, opened fire on the residents and also set houses ablaze. He further said that ‘many villagers have fled from their homes to neighbouring communities’ while there is no presence of security operatives in the area. The attack is happening on a day that both the General Officer Commanding One Division of the Nigerian Army and the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police visited Kafancha...

Buhari's Grass-cutter and the Case of the Properly 'Spended' Funds!

Buhari's Grass-cutter and the Case of the Properly 'Spended' Funds! This article is published in today's ThisDay! In a week the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics released unprecedented unemployment (13.9%), inflation (18.49%) and poverty rates, Nigeria was treated to both a wedding and birthday of unprecedented proportions. A man who had to borrow money to buy his Presidential nomination form is now so well off that he can throw a lavish wedding for his daughter and a regal birthday party for himself while his citizens who could afford to throw lavish weddings for their children and grand birthday parties for themselves can no longer afford it. It seems Buhari traded places with Nigeria. Buhari could not afford many things until he became our President. Nigerians could afford many things until Buhari became our President! What a reversal of fortunes! And all these is coming amidst the backdrop of the unprecedented corruption  allegations coming from the very heart of t...

The truth

By Adokiye Amiesimaka Part of what it means to be a human being is the capacity to hold personal views which should however best be anchored on intelligent analysis of facts with a genuine effort to minimise subjectivity. Easier said than done, one may say, but a serious effort in that direction counts. It is not rocket science. When a man was so desperate to become president that he threatened Armageddon if he did not have his way, yet took half a year to set up shop (when the rein of power was graciously handed over to him) and even then with individuals -with due respect- who hardly inspired any hope for greater prospects for Nigeria; was handed over an economy that was in the ascendancy according to credible international sources, but is now on the fast lane to desolation and ruin; whose so-called war against corruption is etched in infamy as being merely political, virtually exclusively targeting only members of one political party; cannot ensure that an election even in any one...

Edo State Deplorable Educational Standard

Edo state government setting up a think tank committe is a waste of time , because nobody is thinking there their brains are empty. The educational sector of the state has failed according to the interim gov so what has he thought to do about this ???? Mr governor people say u are a guru but I don't think so bcos of the few decisions you have taken let me upgrade and advice you here if you want to uplift our educational standard in edo state the first thing to do is to merge the available schools in the state no building of any new school merge the schools we already have to a fewer number . They have used politics to spoil our educational system any village you go today there are so many primary and secondary schools all over the place imagine a village with up to five primary schools and four secondary schools all substandard without teachers when you visit these communities during election campaigns they will tell you we want school and you too will say I will build a school her...

Letter to buhari

Stanley ogboru , your letter to buhari  is too long just tell buhari to go as he has failed woefully , forget about pdp . This is the worst government this country has ever experienced . Full of nepotism, disregard for the rule of law, full of favourism, lack of human rights , worsened political atmosphere, declined democracy , hate for opposition parties, no justice , presucutution of perceived opponents, the likes of amechi openly defended from efcc investigation , lack of harmonious national assemblies . With nothing to show Government is not religion that you live hoping but it has to have empirical value to be felt by Nigerians and physical change to be experience by Nigerians no matter how small. All we have been hearing is that pdp killed the country for the past 16 years , even the good things pdp did they try to muffle them and portray a very bad image of opposition parties a government that has added nothing to us but only to plunge us all into abject poverty and misery....

IF THIS CAN SAVE FRIEND'S LIFE WHILE SHARED IT'S ALL WORTH IT.

IF THIS CAN SAVE FRIEND'S LIFE WHILE SHARED IT'S ALL WORTH IT. Hi, Good morning. *Vulcanizers in Nigeria and even some countries are killing people* IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO ALL VEHICLE USERS, FROM CNN.                                  Many people have been wondering what could be the cause of the incessant tyre burst accidents on Nigerian roads. The major cause is that we inflate too much pressure on our tyres. How did I know? I was preparing for a long journey, and decided to changed some of my tyres. When I asked the vulcanizer the recommended Air pressure for the tyres, He said 50. I said alright, he should inflate it to 50 all round. When I got to where I was going, I was discussing with some people on the issue of the minister that died on the road due to a burst tyre and wonder what could have happened, because nobo...

ON-GOING LEGAL BATTLE AT EDO ELECTION PETITIONS TRIBUNAL: A LITMUS TEST FOR NIGERIAN JUDICIARY – Justice R.I Amaize (Rtd)

Image
The word of caution embedded in dis write-up and which is it’s meat would not have been necessary in the distant past in our nation’s history when the Nigerian judiciary was seen as largely corruption-free and could hold its own in the comity of judiciaries across the globe. At that time, it was, like Ceaser’s wife, above reproach. Today, the beauties of those yesteryears in the foregoing regard are gone. One however only hope they have not irretrievably gone; that something could still be done to salvage the situation. It’s quite sad just as it is greatly lamentable to note that some men and women of the bench adorned with the white wig with all it’s aural, without baiting an eyelid, have opted for the suicidal mission of recklessly deriding their enormous vested judicial powers with all the pride, honour and dignity appertaining thereto. This they do by trading away same for illegally and shamefully collected naira and kobo; what may at best in eye of someone who has h...

The Relocation Plot: How APC Plans to Rig EDO 2016 Governorship Election Petition at the Tribunal – Nosa Omorodion

Image
By – Nosa Omorodion I was once involved in an election primary in 2002, which opened my eyes to how an election can be rigged by the books. What I learnt then was that by the electoral guideline of the party, if the outcome of the party’s primary is marred by a violent act, the election process would be taken to a panel constituted by the local government chairman, for a decision. My opponent, who had enormous access to the forces of violence, being apprised of this loophole, prepared his option in this direction, apparently on the advice of influential collaborators. He also had the money to push for a win at the table. Of course I was just a young idealistic gentleman with a simple agenda of winning by the rules of a popular primary. The summary of it is that we went to the field and when my opponent saw my queue doubling his own, he ordered his men to unleash violence. Expectedly, the process was referred to higher quarters where my opponent got the ticket to run for the ...

Deputy Speaker, Elizabeth Ativie, has just passed her O’Level

Image
former House Speaker and current Deputy Speaker (APC), Elizabeth Ativie, has finally passed her Ordinary Level O’Level conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) less than 24 months ago, many years after retiring as a Director of Nursing services in the State civil service which require minimum of O’level entry qualification. Ativie, representing Urhumwode State Constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly, made history on May 9, 2016 as the First Female Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly. She forcefully took over leadership of the House on May 9, 2016 in a commando like fashion, impeaching her predecessor, Victor Edoror, amidst gun shots, tear gasses and general violence at the House of Assembly which wounded many people. Ativie is currently the Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly in a bizarre swap arrangement unknown to law that happened on 25th July 2016 which saw her neither resigning or being impeached but swapping her posit...
