Oyegun under pressure to resign for Oshiomole, leaves APC Secretariat in Darkness

As efforts are ongoing for the National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress to vacate his seat, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), reports say, has disconnected power from the party’s headquarters over unpaid bills at the Nigeria’s capital city of Abuja.

The number of months owed by the Nigeria’s governing party has not been made known as of the time of filing this report but sources disclosed to our correspondent in Abuja that the party owes up to the tune of N1.7million out of which N500,000 only was paid as of October 24.

Investigations indicate that the party headquarters has been in darkness for over 3 weeks now as it is yet to pay up and sometimes run the secretariat on diesel power plant.

Meanwhile all arrangements have been made to force Oyegun to resign for Adams Oshiomhole to replace him as APC National Chairman immediately he completes his tenure. Sources say Oyegun does not like this development but was pressured upon to accept it or risk being humiliated out of office.

Meanwhile it is widely believed that President Buhari has offered Oyegun an ambassadorial slot as a soft landing for him to voluntarily resign to avoid possible crisis if he were forced out
