The action of INEC has turned out to be a blessing and big advantage to us – Ize-Iyamu Campaign Organization

The people of Edo state have been urged to regard the rescheduling of the state governorship election as a factor to further solidify their resolve to vote for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

Addressing party supporters in Uhen and Evbomore in Ovia North East Local Government Area at the weekend, the party’s candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu said the decision by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to shift election date forward has given the PDP steps ahead of all other parties involved in the race.

He said:“Great men and women of the PDP, the action of INEC has turned out to be a blessing and big advantage to us. Active politicians and voters in almost all the local government areas in the state are joining the PDP and preaching the gospel according to Pastor Ize-Iyamu.

“Sincerely, I can see the hand of God Almighty in this election. God is directing and this is why the opposition could no longer speak. As at today,we are steps ahead of all other parties”.

Ize-Iyamu further told the people that if they were keeping track of the campaign, they would have observed that the man who loaned his mouth to one of the candidates has exhausted himself.

On the electricity project at Uhen which led to the arrest and detention of 13 PDP supporters, Ize-Iyamu promised that as soon as the party comes on stage, he would ensure that the project was handled speedily. At Ekoshodi and Evbomore, the candidate lamented the condition of the earth roads there saying if elected, his administration would not allow the community and students of the University of Benin living there to remain in slum.

Also at the weekend, his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Idia Ize-Iyamu was at Ibillo in Edo North Senatorial District where she appealed to women to give her husband full support in the election.

She assured that as a first lady to be, she would bring pressure on her husband to provide soft loans for women to enable them own their businesses and maintain a happy home.
