Nigeria’s new IGP sneaks into Benin, raises panic in Edo – We will make this state ungovernable, if… – Edo youths declare

The Inspector General of Police has arrived Benin city purportedly for a training seminar.

His visit has raised reasonable apprehension of fear and suspicion over his true intention in Benin city.

Major reason for the suspicion is that he made a secret visit to Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole.

The IGP arrived the Benin airport using an Air force jet, suspected to be a disguise.

He is not using any siren in Benin. He ordered his security detail to go to other location whil ‘sneaked’ into the government house with few aides.

Many Benin City residents and mostly staff of government house, who are mostly PDP supporters at heart volunteering vital information to the press from time to time, suspect that the outgoing governor of Edo state and the IGP are in a strategy meeting to perfect a plan to disenfranchise many voters in Edo state as well as discredit the PDP candidate by arresting him and the PDP chairman on trumped up and frivolous charges to disorganize the PDP’s campaign.

One of the alleged plans is to use the EFCC to arrest Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu between now and Monday 12.09.2016 or before the election. This is intended to decimate his popularity in Edo state.

The PDP chairman is to be arrested on thrumped up charges that may be connected to tax declaration.

But youths of Benin city, on hearing this, have organised themselves as human shield from tonight to a night after the election.

Leading other volunteers, a former Student Union leader of the University of Benin, Mr Mike Enahoro, said that “from tonight fifty of my men will daily keep vigil at Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu house and everywhere he goes until after the election. If they try anything funny, we will make this state ungovernable for everyone”
