Asekhame Raises the Stakes for APC at Eme Ora Rally. Says Owan belongs to PDP
The chairman PDP youth mobilization committee and erstwhile
two-term chairman of Owan west local government Hon. Daniel Asekhame has raised
the stakes for the APC in the Owans. Asekhame who mobilized youths in the area
to welcome Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to the rally insisted that the APC had no
place in Owan as important decampees from the APC like Hon. Godwin Okpaimau the
last chairman of Owan west and a host of others were set to decamp from the APC
the moment Ize-Iyamu graced the rally with his presence.
He further led the youth in a rally around the community
which attracted more people and youth to the rally. He was also very handy in
the control of the crowd which he physically prevented from storming the canopy
of governor Oshiomole whose party took the belated but unwise decision of
hosting a failed rally almost opposite the PDP rally in the same location.
Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu later came to the rally to receive a
rousing welcome from the people of Emme and the decampees into the PDP.
Asekhame said these were all indicators pointing to the demise of the Oshiomole
led totalitarian government in Edo state and
with it the end of the marginalization of the Owan people by the little man.
