You cannot use my school for your campaign – Oshiomhole tells PDP

The governor of Edo State and leader of APC in the state has again barred the People’s Democratic Party from using the Okpujie Primary School, Uromi for their Uromi rally today.

The governor had similarly prevented the PDP from using the Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin city for the state flag off making the party to use the grounds of Baptist Convention at Television Road, Benin city.

The PDP had used the Okpujie Primary School last Saturday for her Edo Central Senatorial Districts’ flag off. As a punishment for using the public school owned by Edo State government, the governor issued a query to the Head Mistress of the school and she has since been suspended.

The Uromi ward rally scheduled at Okpujie Primary School on Friday was rescheduled at the PDP Secretariat Uromi because Adams Oshiomhole issued instruction not to allow the PDP to use the school.

However, the mammoth crowd which had gathered outside the Okpujie Primary School were asked to relocate to the PDP Secretariat where the rally took place.

Speaking at the Rally, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu revealed that the red roof that is seen in schools across Edo state was a FGN UBE project where the federal government contributed 60% of the sum and the state and local government provided the rest 40%.

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu revealed that the money the 40% contributed by Edo state was done by the Osunbor government and not Oshiomhole but that it has been a carefully guided secret until today.

Speaking further, the PDP candidate promised to industrialize Uromi and revive the Uromi cassavita factory.

He said Oshiomhole government was a show of “clannishness and wickedness of the highest order”.
